Payroll and STP processing support for Australian businesses
Payroll is where small mistakes become big problems: wrong award rates, missed super, STP figures that do not match the ledger. We prepare pay runs and reconciliations inside your payroll software, and you approve before anything is paid or reported.
What we handle
- Pay runs prepared from timesheets for your approval
- Super calculated and reconciled each pay cycle
- Leave balances and accruals checked
- STP Phase 2 pay events reviewed before you submit
- End-of-year STP finalisation prepared by 14 July
What a pay cycle with us looks like
- Timesheets or rosters collected from Deputy, your payroll app, or a spreadsheet
- Pay run drafted with ordinary hours, overtime, allowances and leave applied as set up in your payroll file
- Exceptions flagged: new starters, terminations, unusual hours, missing tax file declarations
- You review and approve the pay run; you or your nominated person submits the STP pay event and makes payments
- Payroll journals reconciled to the general ledger, including PAYG withholding and super liabilities
STP Phase 2 and Payday Super
Single Touch Payroll Phase 2 means each pay event reports income types, allowances and country codes in more detail than before. Errors flow straight to the ATO and to your employees' myGov accounts, so we check the disaggregated figures before each submission.
Super is now paid with wages, not quarterly. Under Payday Super, which started on 1 July 2026, contributions have to reach your employees' funds within days of each payday. We reconcile super after every pay run so nothing is late.
What stays with you
Pay rate decisions, award interpretation, and approval of every pay run stay with you or your adviser. We are not a registered BAS agent and we do not make payments or lodge on your behalf; we prepare the work so approving it takes minutes.
Software
- Xero Payroll
- MYOB Business and AccountRight payroll
- Employment Hero (KeyPay)
- QuickBooks Online payroll
Illustrative example, not a client case study
Illustrative example: a fortnightly pay run
A hospitality business with 22 casual and part-time staff rosters in Deputy and pays fortnightly through Xero Payroll.
- Approved Deputy timesheets imported; penalty rates applied from the existing pay items
- Two exceptions flagged: a new starter without a TFN declaration, and an employee over 76 hours
- Owner approves the pay run and submits the STP pay event from Xero
- Super and PAYG liabilities reconciled; payroll journal checked against the ledger
The owner spends 10 minutes approving instead of two hours building the pay run.

FAQ
Do you submit STP reports to the ATO?+
No. We prepare and check the pay run and STP data; you or your nominated person submits the pay event from your payroll software.
Can you interpret awards for us?+
Award interpretation stays with you or your employment adviser. We apply the pay rates and conditions already set up in your payroll file and flag anything that looks inconsistent.
Do you help with STP finalisation at year end?+
Yes. We reconcile year-to-date payroll to the ledger and prepare the finalisation so you can make the declaration by 14 July.
How does Payday Super change our process?+
Super is paid with each pay cycle instead of quarterly. We reconcile super after every pay run so contributions go out on time.
